This transit study should be forward-thinking and explore innovative planning techniques, the latest transportation technologies, and various other factors that influence, impact, or drive transportation. The tasks listed are suggestions that should inform the project work program and timeline included in the proposal and should not be interpreted as a prescription of anticipated plan tasks or chapters. Contractors are encouraged to build a program that is both creative and suited for the specific needs of the project sponsor(s) and the study area and provides additional approaches/activities to accomplish the objectives of this effort. NOTE: This study is being funded by two separate sources, one of which is limited to planning activities occurring within the eight-county Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). Therefore, this scope of work is broken down into subtasks relating to planning activities by county (although Tasks 1 and 4 are not county-dependent and are therefore not broken into subtasks). This project will require two (2) separate contracts, both of which will be filled by one (1) selected Contractor.
