The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) is seeking bids to provide a truck mounted striping machine. A. The contractor must supply One (1) Truck with a Mounted Striping Machine per specifications below. 1. Performance specification: Unit shall be capable of applying up to a 36” wide retro- reflective line using minimum of 6 paint and 6 bead guns, each gun spraying a 9” wide line with no gap between each line. Paint application speeds shall be from 3 to 6 MPH. Application rates of 15 to 20 mil wet film thickness waterborne Type III traffic paint and 6 lbs./gal and Type III glass beads. Independent carriage steering systems allow individual adjustment of the gun carriages from the rear operator’s stations. 2. Equipment platform: The construction shall be of 3/16” thick smooth aluminum deck plate 88” wide x 197” long with 4” long aluminum sills, 3” aluminum cross members with integrally formed rub rail. Black abrasive anti-slip 6” wide strips with 3” spacing shall be provided. A canopy shall be provided above the operator station. The railings shall be 42” high with mid rail welded to deck. Two (2) 32” high fold up steel ladders with a chrome grab handle on each side of ladder openings shall be provided. At the operator station the railing shall be 32” high with a mid-rail. Steel rear bumper with stair step rear access incorporated into the design with right side hand railing. Removable aluminum rear fenders with aluminum guard forward and to the rear shall be provided. Two (2) 10# fire extinguishers and two (2) cup holders shall also be provided. The auxiliary engine and air compressor shall remain their original factory powder coat colors. 3. Toolboxes: Two (2) toolboxes approximately 18” X 14” X 24” on the deck near the rear corners, facing outwards from the deck.
