Specifications include, but are not limited to: Northern Kentucky University often requires specialized legal advice and services regarding immigration matters, including but not limited to all aspects of the employer-sponsored immigration process and filings and other immigration-related legal advice. This work may involve all temporary visas including F, H-1B, OPT, TN, L, TPS, and V, as well as advice regarding SEVIS, consulate processing, and other provisions of immigration law. For example, each year, the University initiates approximately 15-20 H1-B processes. Outside immigration counsel will consult with University Legal Affairs and will work directly with University Human Resources. Due to the limited size of its staff and the broad scope of issues presented to it on a daily basis, University Legal Affairs is unable to perform these specialized services in-house.
