The Contractor shall provide Vehicle and Equipment Towing Services for City of Detroit-owned property, as follows: provide towing for all vehicle and equipment. Equipment models will range from automotive and light truck to heavy equipment including but not limited to fire engines, ladders, dump trucks and pavers. be able to provide service seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. supply a contact person who will be notified by the City of Detroit Fleet Management division, when these requests become necessary. have ALL invoices signed for all jobs by an authorized repair foreman or supervisor upon delivery of towed vehicle. deliver all after hour job invoices to Russell Yard for signatures. provide original invoices for payment, no copies of any form are acceptable. have equipment capable of towing 65,000 lb vehicle minimum and have a towing fleet of adequate size and diversity to safely transport a wide variety of City equipment under any weather or emergency conditions. have the capability to perform multiple towing jobs simultaneously. Prior to the awarding of the contract, the City of Detroit Fleet Management division may request to inspect the vendor’s fleet to determine that all requirements can be met.
