The purpose of this IFB is to form pools of contractors that the Agency may draw from to contract for all phases of: Lot #1, Plumbing-related Services (Interior/Exterior, within 30” of the exterior of the walls): Plumbing-related work including, but not limited to, repair/replacement of electric and fuel fired hot water tanks, repairing and/or replacing plumbing fixtures such as: toilets; sinks; bathtubs; drain systems; and water and sewer lines; and, Lot #2, Plumbing-related Services (Drain work – Exterior) Such work exceeding 30” of the exterior of the walls, as detailed within pertinent City of Syracuse Code. Lot #3, Sewer & Drain-related Work: Sewer & Drain-related work including, but not limited to: excavation of sewer lines, hydro-jet pumping, holding tank pumping, and sewage pump repair and installation. 2.1.4 Additional Services. Any other Plumbing and/or Sewer & Drain-related maintenance, repair, or installation work the Agency may order. 2.1.5 Work Standards. It is the responsibility of each Contractor to ensure that each worker provided by the Contractor shall be fully trained and qualified to provide any assigned work. Accordingly, all work provided shall be guaranteed by the Contractor to be performed in a workmanlike manner and in accordance with all applicable laws, codes, and/or regulations, including, but not limited to: Uniform Building Code (UBC) and the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). 2.2 General Conditions/Contractor Responsibilities (in alpha order). The Agency periodically has need of a Contractor to prepare vacant units for occupancy (though the Agency may also choose to direct the Contractor to address an occupied unit). The Agency anticipates that it will utilize the contract(s) that ensue from this IFB to potentially supplement the work of the Agency’s in-house staff.
