DPS currently has standby generators at 10 sites, all are covered by a service maintenance contract. One is new, so in this RFP we seek proposals for nine (9) generators with the following fuel sources 2.3.1.1. Seven (7) propane fuel generators, at least 15 kW 2.3.1.2. Two (2) diesel fuel generator, at least 15 kW 2.3.2.The generators must meet the following Functional Requirements: 2.3.2.1. Output voltage: 240 volts single phase, 60 Hz 2.3.2.2. RPM: 1800 or less 2.3.2.3. Remote connectivity: IP-based 2.3.2.4. Alarm: contact closure 2.3.2.5. Engine: water-cooled, full pressure, overhead cam 2.3.2.6. Transfer switch: 200 amp outdoor-rated 2.3.2.7. Enclosure: aluminum outdoor-rated 2.3.2.8. Certifications: cUL, UL 2200, CSA and EPA 2.3.2.9. Warranty: 5 year, 2000 hours 2.3.2.10. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): less than 5% 2.3.2.11. Startup time: less than 1 minute 2.3.2.12. Must include a battery heater 2.3.3.Additional functional requirements for diesel generators: 2.3.3.1. The two diesel generators will be installed inside building enclosures in isolated locations with no road access. The generators may be partially disassembled for placement in the building. 2.3.3.2.
