Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Salina is currently soliciting bids for contractor clean-up (abatement) of properties under its Property Maintenance Code Enforcement function. Abatements may include securing buildings (doors and windows) or fence openings to prevent unauthorized entry; installing erosion control devices according to a site plan; utilizing and/or removing, abating, or cleaning up of a variety of items such as tall grass/weeds, yard waste, tree branches, appliances, vehicle parts, graffiti, and miscellaneous trash, rubbish, and debris; Residential and Commercial (occupied and vacant) Cut to a height not to exceed three inches. Cut vegetation up to the street pavement, including an adjacent ditch, right-of-way or easement (includes any area between the property line and curb or street pavement line of any adjacent street or alley, whether improved or unimproved). Trim around any tree, shrubbery, fences, and utility pole or other obstruction located on the premises. Do not blow clippings or debris into the street or onto the sidewalk. Vacant Lots and Open Fields Remove any cans, bottles, or other litter necessary to perform mowing. Work order may specify ‘Right of Way Maintenance’ which means to cut to a height of three inches within a one foot distance of a fence or building to the curb along all sides of the property. In an agricultural district, groom to a height of three inches the first fifteen feet of the right-of-way nearest an abutting arterial or collector street without an established curb and gutter.
