Scope of Work: The vendor shall provide a radio communication system that meets the following requirements: Coverage: The system must provide reliable communication coverage across all of Pender County, including urban, suburban, and rural areas. It is the vendor's responsibility to locate viable tower space for repeaters. Please itemize all relevant lease pricing for said tower space. Talk Channels: The system must support at least two (2) dedicated talk channels, with the ability to expand to four (4) channels in the future if needed. Scalability: The system must be expandable to accommodate additional units if required. Equipment Requirements: The vendor must supply and install the following radio equipment: - 120 Bus Radios - Installed in school buses to provide seamless communication with dispatch and other buses. - 15 Vehicle Radios with Mobile Handheld Capabilities - Installed in administrative and service vehicles, with detachable handheld units for on-the-go communication. - 25 Office Dispatch Radios - Installed at dispatch centers and administrative offices for centralized communication management. - 60 Handheld Radios - Provided for school administrators and other support staff. These handheld radios can operate via a repeater connected to the site office dispatch radio or vehicle radio if needed. They do not need to connect directly to the county-wide repeater system. Installation and Integration: - Vendor must install and configure all equipment in buses, vehicles, and office locations. - All equipment must be fully tested to ensure system functionality and reliability. - The system must be integrated with existing communication infrastructure where applicable. - Installation must be completed by Aug 18th 2025 In order to allow for utilization at the start of our 2025-2026 School Year.
