Kewanee, Illinois, is the largest city in Henry County, known historically for its significant role in commerce and industry within the region. Today, the City manages an extensive network of streets comprising approximately 200 lanemiles of roadway, supported by funds from the Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) and local sources. This RFQ seeks an engineering firm to address the ongoing needs for street maintenance to ensure efficient and safe transportation throughout the community. Kewanee continues to develop its infrastructure to support both the community’s needs and future growth initiatives. 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES 2.1 Pavement Evaluation Data Collection: Conduct thorough assessments of the current pavement conditions across designated roadways. Analysis: Utilize industry-standard methodologies to determine the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and identify areas requiring maintenance or rehabilitation. 2.2 Preliminary Design Concept Development: Based on evaluation findings, develop preliminary design concepts for pavement rehabilitation or reconstruction. Cost Estimation: Prepare preliminary cost estimates for proposed interventions. 2.3 Final Design Detailed Engineering: Develop comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the annual maintenance program (overlays, micro-surfacing, rebuilds and reconstruction, approved projects.
