This ITB is seeking a vendor to provide sandblasting, undercoating, and panting services for approximately 18 Freightline transport trucks located at the Lake City Central Shop. Florida Forest Service (FFS) will provide transport of the trucks to and from the contractor’s regular place of business located within 25 miles of Lake City Central Shop. The vendor must coordinate with the FSS to schedule delivery of the freightliner trucks to the vendor’s facility to provide the requested services outlined below. 1. Sandblast the entire steel truck bed to a Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) SSPC-SP7 standard to remove mill scale and welding slag. 2. Apply two (2) coats of undercoating to the underside of the frame and truck bed. Apply one (1) coat of primer and one (1) finishing coat using Florida Forest Service colors to the entire truck bed. 3. Finished paint will be free from drips, runs, thin spots, and overspray onto the cab or chassis. 4. Paint, primer, and undercoating will be supplied by the Florida Forest Service. The Department reserves the right to add or reduce the number of Freightline transport trucks to be serviced; therefore, the Department assigned purchase order shall be the official determination for final quantities.
