Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Ames Electric Services Department is accepting bids from qualified vendors for substation transformer maintenance and repair services. Contractor to provide: • Mobilize to site • Labor and all equipment to perform the scope of work o Clean, dry oil storge container for the duration of work (furnished by contractor and cost to be included in bid) o Requires a crane/derrick to remove and reinstall radiators (furnished by contractor and cost to be included in bid) • Pretest the transformer: o Power Factor Bushings o Power Factor Windings o Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR) on all On Load Tap Changer (OLTC) positions (as found on the No Load Tap Changer [NLTC]) o Excitation o Winding Resistance o SFRA • Re-gasket all radiators (6), points of entry, gauges, and pressure devices on main tank and LTC • Retape/seal upper and lower radiator plugs/ball valves • Repair any oil leaks o Known leaks include: ▪ Radiator flange ▪ Liquid temp gauge well
