Specifications include, but are not limited to: contractor services to develop an excavator training program that includes the following elements: • Developing proficiency in operating excavators safely and efficiently. • Understanding the principles of excavation techniques and best practices. • Learning how to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. • Improving awareness of safety regulations and guidelines. The selected contractor shall obtain approval in advance by VTrans, of all staff proposed for delivering training. If any instructor does not perform up to acceptable or satisfactory standards as documented as determined by the State in its sole discretion, the contractor shall follow VTrans direction to either take remedial action to ensure the instructor is performing at an acceptable standard or replace the staff member(s) with State approved staff.
