Primary objectives of the program. o To enhance parenting skills of incarcerated individuals. o To encourage positive family relationships and reduce the negative impact of incarceration on children. o To provide emotional and psychological support to parents for reintegration into family life post-incarceration. o To improve communication techniques that promote healthy development of children. o The program must include an initial assessment of participants to identify individual needs and challenges. o It should consist of a minimum of 12 sessions, each lasting no less than 1.5 hours, delivered over the course of the program. o Curriculum must include topics such as child development, effective communication, discipline strategies, stress management, and the impact of incarceration on families. o Interactive and engaging instructional methods should be employed, including role-plays, group discussions, and practical assignments. o Participants will include incarcerated individuals at various stages of their sentences. o The program must be designed to accommodate varying literacy levels and learning styles. o Participants identified by the Dependency process with having an open case plan where parenting is a case plan task. o Parents of children between ages of 0-17. o The County will provide the classroom and writing materials. o The vendor(s) will provide all program materials, including manuals, handouts, and instructional resources, and made available in print.
