Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a sole source procurement to The Well Incorporated (The Well), in the amount of $638,841.00 through September 30, 2027, to provide continued support and services during the Phase 3 Implementation stage of the Homegrown Hillsborough Food System Program for the Extension Services Department. The Well has decades of specialized local experience and expertise in food system work, community development, internship management and administration, event planning, and effective community outreach within Hillsborough County, and has previously partnered with Homegrown Hillsborough to provide such services during Phases 1 and 2 of the Program. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-205(2)(g) of the County’s Procurement Policy as The Well has unique expertise, and advanced knowledge, gained working with local food programs and with their specialized work during the first two phases with the Homegrown Hillsborough Food Program. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
