SCOPE OF WORK: ROOF Base Bid for restorative coating. Lightening control must be tested prior to roof removal and after reinstallation by an electrician/lightening control contractor. All work to be done by a licensed technician for lightening control. A line item is added to the bid form for the cost of UL certification. Remove loose granules and debris to prepare the surface of the SBS roofing & flashing for an application of fibrated aluminum coating. Material must meet ASTM D 2824 Type III Fibrated Aluminum Coating (Karnak Alumin-R is the basis of design) Include a $3,000.00 allowance for spot repairs to the roof and base flashing. Furnish a two-year workmanship warranty. Arrange for manufacturer’s reinspection to maintain warranty coverage. SCOPE OF WORK: SHEET METAL Remove existing coping cap, fascia metal, counter flashing, collector boxes, gutter edge, and downspouts. Furnish & install new sheet metal components fabricated from .040 aluminum. Finish or color to match existing. ES-1 rated coping cap or fascia metal as specified at perimeters. No shop fabricated coping or fascia. Remove & replace all damaged vent caps. Material to match existing. Furnish and install new coping caps, scuppers, collector boxes, downspouts and counter flashing fabricated from 24-gauge Kynar coated steel or 0.40 Aluminum to match existing Flash all new edge metal, gutter edge, and scuppers in accordance with manufacturer's and NRCA details. All sheet metal design, fabrication, and installation to be performed by a qualified sheet metal contractor who employees fully insured journeyman “sheet metal workers” with extensive experience in the design and installation of commercial/industrial systems. All sheet metal fabrication and work to be performed in accordance with the SMACNA sheet metal manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, local building codes (sheet metal, drainage, and plumbing), whichever is more stringent.
