4. SCOPE OF WORK/SERVICES 4.1. Project Description The City of Hollywood Department of Public Utilities is seeking Licensed Plumbing Contractors to provide plumbing materials, services, and installation according to the Uniform Plumbing Code, local and state regulations, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requirements. The services are specifically for the dewatering and stabilization buildings at the wastewater treatment plant. The contractor will be responsible for all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and travel expenses required to perform the work. 4.2. Technical Specifications Services to be Performed: A. Increase Floor Drainpipe Size: o Expand the floor drainpipes from 4” to 6”. B. Drain Head Removal and Replacement: o Remove 12 drain heads in the stabilization building. o Install new drain heads. o Install 6” P-traps for each drain head. C. Connection Repair: o Fix issues related to the 4” to 6” connection that causes toilet backups. D. Dewatering Building Drainpipe Work: o Increase the size of drainpipes in the dewatering building. E. Drain Head Replacement/Repair: o Replace or repair approximately 30 drain heads in the dewatering building. F. System Inspection and Cleaning: o Inspect the system for defects. o Clean any clogged pipes via high-pressure water jetting or other means as recommended by the vendor. Vendor Requirements: A. Tool and Equipment Provision: o The vendor must provide all tools and equipment necessary for the work. B. Professionalism: o The vendor must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while on site.
