Task 1: Conduct Field Surveys The consultant will conduct separate field surveys and take field measurements at each of the selected bus shelter locations. Furthermore, it’s critical to ensure that all items such as stonewalls, mature trees, buildings/structures, fences, signs, mailboxes, and other roadside features are addressed if impacted by this project. The consultant will ensure that all potential conflicts such as utility, guide rail and similar items have been identified and addressed. Task 2: Bus Shelter Design Task 2A: Site Design Plans 2A.1 The consultant will prepare preliminary (40%) design plans for each site at which a new bus shelter is recommended and submit to NVCOG for review and comment. The site plans shall include design specifications and drawings. The design plans shall include a layout of all physical features required to install a bus shelter, including site grading, base and sub-base, bus shelter pad, clearing and grubbing, new sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, connections with existing features that will remain in place, such as an adjacent or connecting sidewalk, and utility resets and/or relocations. The consultant will also identify materials and calculate quantities.
