The Department seeks to gain understanding in the community interest of naloxone in high foot traffic public or retail entities. The Department seeks to activate this initiative in data-backed locations to saturate the areas of most need within Jefferson County. The initiative is designed to be efficient to which it allows the entities to continue the everyday process and procedures of naloxone procurement' The entity would promote and key product as a zero cost to customer then invoice the Department at specified intervals. The two lowest bidding entities will each be reimbursed a maximum of S20,000 per month for 6 months for qualifying, invoiced naloxone distributions. We expect the entity to provide free naloxone to its customers at select locations throughout Jefferson County, AL. We expect invoices to be delivered to the Department at no less than biweekly intervals. This specific scope of the work is summarized below, but is not limited to: a) Partnership with the Department to choose locations of most need. b) The entity is responsible for ordering naloxone, stocking naloxone in selected location, promoting the initiative, and providing customer with assistance upon questions. This should not be abnormal to everyday processes. c) Market naloxone kits as free to customers. d) Determine maximum per transaction limit (e.g. max of 3 kits per transaction)' e) Theentitywill provide invoicestothe Department showing the q uantity of transactions perstore. This is expected to occur weekly or every other week. The Department will reimburse per kit distributed at bid amount, not to exceed 520,000 per month. f) Backend data will be expected showing the date and time of each transaction in each entity location. This will be expected at minimum every month or upon request by the Department. g) First distribution is expected l week following signed agreement.
