The Illinois Center for Rehabilitation & Education – Roosevelt (ICRE-R) is a 24-hour residential school and day training program for students ages 18 -21 with severe physical disabilities and other complex health issues. The Vendor will serve cooked meals on site for up to forty (40) students. Daily meals consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with two (2) snacks. Some of the student’s foods are puree and low-calorie diets. Meals are served at ICRE-R Monday through Friday each week and the facility is closed every weekend. The new school session begins August and continues through June of each school year. The number of service days during the school year is approximately 185. The vendor will also serve breakfast and lunch to approximately thirty (30) students participating in the Pre-Employment Program (PEP) at ICRE-R. The Pre-Employment Program (PEP) runs Monday – Friday beginning September and continuing for 180 days through June of each school year. The Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education – Wood (ICRE-W) is a 24-hour per day adult program for customers who are blind, deafblind and visually impaired. The Vendor will serve cooked meals on site to approximately 50 adult residents and day students. Daily meals consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner along with (1) snack. The residential program at ICRE-W serves meals of breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Sunday. The facility is closed every other weekend. The number of service days that the customers are in session at ICRE-W is approximately 305. This includes 4th of July and Columbus Day. The program begins each July and runs through June. NOTE - The actual amount of service days will be dependent upon the finalization of the fiscal service calendar each year.
