The vendor will supply ISP summer uniform hats which meet the following specifications. 1.2.1. Style: Montana Peak with four (4) dents in the crown. 1.2.2. Material: 5 x 5.5-millimeter Bedford Hemp sewn tight and waterproof. 1.2.3. Crown: 5 ¼” High with three (3) eyelets (one on each side and one in the back); Hole punched in front 2 1/8” above the Brim for Hat Medallion. 1.2.4. Brim: Must be 3” wide and flat with ¼” roll upwards around entire brim edge, starting 2” from the crown. In order to accommodate the chin strap, there must be one (1) eyelet at each side of the brim at center (side) of the crown, 1/8” away from the crown with an opening to be 3/16” wide and 5/8” long. Brim must be double thickness. 1.2.5. Color: Brown. 1.2.6. Sizing: There should be enough sizing in each hat to remain throughout the life of the hat. Hat sizes are to be determined by sweatband size. The hat itself shall be one size larger than the sweatband to make it easier to properly fit the trooper. In the event that our normal stock sizes, which include the regular long oval, extra-long oval and wide oval styles, do not fit a trooper’s head properly, it will be the vendor’s responsibility to make whatever necessary measurements that are needed and manufacture those hats to conform perfectly to the trooper’s head. Hat size will be marked in the back under the sweatband as well as another marking outside of the sweatband. Each size marker must indicate the size and if the oval is regular, long oval, extra-long oval or wide oval. Hat sweatband sizes start at 6-1/4” and increase by 1/8” up to 7-7/8”.
