Filter construction • Frames shall be constructed of high-density, moisture-resistant beverage board • An expanded (galvanized) metal reinforcement shall be laminated to the air-exit side of the media. All 4” filters should have media separators • Filters should have a minimum pleating of: 1” filters 16, 2” filters 15, 4” filters 11; Testing/Certification • Filters must be UL tested, and all filter frames must display the UL certification label • Filter media shall be 100% synthetic and classified as minimum MERV 10 (or MERV 13, as specified) when tested in accordance with the ANSI/ASHRAE 52.2 standard.
