The successful contractor will be responsible for the following scope of work: Re-surfacing approximately 3,500 linear feet by 12 foot wide of rubberized walking trail surface. The work to be performed under this specification includes all labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary for the removal of existing rubberized surface, root damage removal, asphalt repair and installation of the new rubberized surface. • Walking Trail Surface Demolition o Demolition, removal and disposal of existing rubberized surface. • Walking Trail Repairs o Identify damage caused by roots and repair. Major areas will be identified and marked by the County. o Repairs to be made by contractors with the best methods deemed appropriate. These methods may include but are not limited to cutting, grinding, removal of roots, subbase material and damaged asphalt removal as needed to make such repairs. Roots are to be pruned on entire edges of trail and cut out of trail surface, subbase to be recompacted and new asphalt patch installed to match existing elevation. o The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe job site, ensuring the construction area and their equipment is secured at all times. o The contractor shall remove all demolition debris and dispose of it in a proper manner and location • Walking Trail Resurface o Entire walking path will be applied with a new latex 5-layer rubberized track surface system, using proper industry and manufacturer application instructions. o Top layers of surface to be red in color o Contractors will follow manufactures guidelines on product use with no exceptions. o Contractors will ensure all amenities at the park are protected and that no overspray reaches benches, equipment, buildings or adjacent properties.
