McLennan County may purchase Cationic Emulsion Road Sealant/Fog Seal, Emulsified Asphalt: HFRS-2, SS1, Cationic; CRS-2, CSS-1H, Poly Modified Cationic: CRS-2P, CHFRS-2P, Specialty Emulsions: AE-P, loaded in McLennan County or authorized Distributor(s) asphalt trailer at the awarded bidder’s plant, and delivered to McLennan County Precinct(s) or various location(s) within McLennan County, according to bid specification. 4.2. Materials shall meet the latest edition of the Texas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction of Highways, Streets and Bridges and all other Texas Department of Transportation requirement, except the CWP material. 4.3. At some locations the material shall be pumped into elevated storage tanks through a three-inch line. Pumping Fee, if applicable, shall be listed in price/cost response, with submitted bid. 4.4. SPECIFICATION: CWP – Pothole Patch a. A Material Safety Data Sheet shall accompany each load. b. All data shall be in compliance with ASTM D244-99 test procedures. c. Application rates of the stabilizing agent shall be determined by lab test. d. Material shall have a stockpile life of six (6) months. 4.5. SPECIFICATION: Road Sealant to Lock Down Single Course Chip Seals (Fog Seal) 4.5.1. Seal Coats to be utilized as a pavement preservation treatment seal coats, “chip seals”. The seal coat will be an application of a layer of asphalt binder covered with a layer of aggregate applied to an existing paved surface.
