The purpose of this project is to ensure the accessibility of sanitary sewer easements for the City of Columbia, South Carolina (hereafter called the “OWNER”) and to perform ongoing services to remove beaver dams and nuisance beavers. The work will include coordinating and conducting regular visits to monitor (as often as weekly) selected locations as identified by Columbia Water and Contractor to perform duties to include the removal of beaver, beaver dams, and other debris to maintain unrestricted flows of water from these locations. This project is established to support Gravity Sewer System Operations and Maintenance Program (GSOMP) and Transmission System Operations and Maintenance Program (TSOMP) administration for the OWNER. The GSOMP and TSOMP ensure the OWNER can address and prevent SSOs associated with gravity sewers, manholes, inverted siphons, pump stations, and force mains.
