The provider shall provide the following services for the City of Spokane, Police Department: Three (3) Mental Health Professionals (MHP's), as defined in RCW 71.05.020(39) which will provide MHFRT services in City of Spokane. Two of the MHP’s will be paired with and co-respond with police officers. The third will be assigned to the Combined Communication Center to triage crisis type calls in police dispatch. The provider will also provide two (2) Recovery Navigator Teams (RNT) as defined by RCW 71.24.115 (section 1 and 2). These RNTs will respond to police calls for service along with officers or without officers depending on the situation. The RNT’s will respond to appropriate calls for service when requested in their own vehicle, which will be capable of providing transport to the person in crisis if necessary. The RNTs may also be tasked with follow up to prevent future related police calls for service. The MHP may also provide preventive, follow-up, and education on mental health field responses while utilizing best practices, or other services at the direction of the local law enforcement agency. Nothing limits the MHP's participation to field patrol.
