Zapata County ISD is requesting proposals from firms for cafeteria serving line equipment and installation. 1. Site Assessment: • Measure area and conduct precise measurements of the designated space for the serving line, noting dimensions such as length, width, height, and any obstructions (walls, doors, power outlets). • Identify and mark all existing utilities (electrical capacity, plumbing, and drainage connections) in the installation area. • Verify the accessibility for moving large equipment into the area – and removal of existing equipment. 3. Equipment Specifications: • Confirm measurements for the serving line equipment, including length, width, depth, and height. Ensure compatibility with the space-inclusive of passage way for staff w/pass on backside & student line side. • Specify features such as hot/cold sections, sneeze guards, tray rails, and storage compartments. • Ensure equipment meets industry standards for food safety and accessibility (e.g., ADA compliance)-material and craftsmanship. 4. Pre-Installation Preparations: • Remove any old serving line equipment or obstructions in the designated area. • Confirm the floor is level and structurally sound to support the weight of the serving line. • Prepare or adjust utility connections (electricity, gas, water, or drainage) as per the equipment requirements.
