A. Model: New, 2025 or newer production model, International WorkStar HV, Peterbilt 567, Freightliner 114SD, Volvo VHD64 or approved substitute, meeting all current emission, efficiency, performance and safety standards and the following minimum specifications herein. B. GVWR: 58,000 lbs. minimum. C. Cab: Conventional cab. Factory installed air conditioning, cab air suspension and cab sound insulation. Shall include a stair step design for cab access and include all windows film tinted up to Hawaii State legal limits. D. Hood: Forward tilting, manufactured from high strength composite material or fiberglass. E. Frame: Frame must be of sufficient rating and design for application per selected body company. Frame to be constructed of 120,000 PSI yield strength steel and an RBM of 2,654,400 in.-lbs. F. Wheelbase: 215 inches or as dictated by cab to axle dimension. G. Cab-Axle: As required by the body manufacturer. H. Front Axle: Wide Track, I-Beam type, 18,000 lbs. rating. I. Front Spring Capacity: 18,000 lbs. capacity with shock absorbers and front auxiliary rubber springs as required by the manufacturer. J. Rear Axle: Tandem, Meritor MT-40-14X-P, Dana-Spicer D-40-170P or approved substitute with 0.43” housing wall thickness; single reduction axle, 40,000 lb. rated capacity with driver controlled main locking differential in rear rear axle. Differential ratio shall be selected by the Officer-in-Charge (“OIC”) based on the manufacturer’s standard offerings.
