The Management Plan by the Firm shall address and provide recommendations for the following areas: improvements to forest health and wildlife habitat, removal and mitigation of invasive plant species, provide for public recreation and promote long term stewardship of the Property. These practices may include, but are not limited to, clear-cutting light-weight vegetation, felling dead/ dying timber not otherwise beneficial to the Property, application of herbicides to mitigate growth of invasives, removal or chipping of cleared brush/timber, and planting vegetation beneficial to the forest and wildlife. The Management Plan may also involve assisting the Town with marking property boundaries. The Town seeks to receive a Management Plan from the successful Firm within one month from the date the contract is awarded. Firms are encouraged to suggest additions or modifications to the scope as defined in the RFP document that will enhance or clarify the work; these suggestions should be incorporated in the Firms response to this RFP. The Management Plan should be consistent with the site evaluation and goals outlined in the CT DEEP Forestry Division report.
