The City will convey the Property to a proposer who will rehabilitate the building in accordance with the standards applicable to the rehabilitation of historic buildings and ADA, and redevelop the Property for historical purposes that are in the best interest of the City. The City will consider all of the uses allowed by right in the downtown area. The Property is offered for sale pursuant to the evaluation criteria set forth in the submission requirements and the selection criteria of the RFP. The property will be sold in an "as is" condition. The Property is being offered at its FY2025 Assessed value of Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Two Hundred ($377,200.00) Dollars. There is no particular preferred use. However, any proposed use must advance the following renovation and redevelopment goals of the City. A use that can integrate seamlessly into the City’s downtown area/neighborhood. A use that will preserve the historic appearance of the Property. A use that will stimulate other desirable economic, social and cultural development in the City area. A use that Attleboro residents will deem as an asset to the City area and the City as a whole. A use of the building that would contribute to the neighborhood's vitality. Any redesign of the Property’s site should respect adjacent residences and the neighborhood in general. Rehabilitation of the building should incorporate high quality, historically sensitive construction and use of materials. The City’s preference is for the following uses for the Property: Welcome/Visitor Center Museum of Local History & furthering historical education Office space for Historical Commission and/or Historical Preservation Society Performing arts, public meeting or event space
