Services to be provided will include: Performing an on-site assessment of the existing 3.5 miles of wooded trails noting the current condition of trails, structures and amenities. Specific concerns regarding safety and the level of deterioration should also be identified. The findings shall be summarized in a written report including recommended improvements, prioritization, options (including the possibility of phasing improvements), and cost estimates for bringing the existing trails up to US Forest Service Trail Assessment Guidelines (FSTAG). Recommendations for additional design elements that will help to minimize future maintenance costs should also be addressed. A basic conceptual plan (15%) shall also be prepared to assist in facilitating discussion and understanding of the work being proposed. The on-site assessment should also include an evaluation of potential sites of interest for future wayfinding and signage. An itemized assessment of the amenities to be installed at each proposed site should be included in the written summation along with a probable cost estimate for each site and overall wayfinding efforts.
