1. The NSD is scheduled to operate schools one hundred eighty (180) days, plus two to four days for private school only, per year. The Nashua School District also operates limited summer routes. The District reserves the right to cancel scheduled school days or open school on a delayed basis with minimal notice because of weather or other emergencies. Should the NSD extend the days of operation beyond one hundred eighty (180), the Carrier shall be required to perform the additional transportation services, and will receive additional compensation based on the daily rate for services. 2. All buses and drivers must be available on one (1) hours’ notice for early closing of one or more schools due to an emergency, and on one (1) days’ notice for early closing of school for other activities. 3. The Carrier shall maintain a maintenance and dispatch terminal sufficient to service the needs of the buses and drivers. While the terminal is not required to be located within the City of Nashua, the Carrier must be able to demonstrate that the location of the terminal shall not jeopardize the timely delivery of services, or the ability of the Carrier to respond quickly to emergencies requiring the immediate dispatch of buses to a school(s) because of early closing due to an emergency. The maintenance facility shall comply with all EPA, local, state and federal regulations. Within 30 calendar days of receiving a written notice of contract award, the Carrier shall provide either evidence of ownership of a transportation terminal, or a letter of intent to lease a facility from the Owner for the initial term of the contract with the NSD. Within sixty (60) calendar days of the written notice of contract award, the Carrier shall provide a signed lease for a transportation terminal with the owner for the term of the contract with the NSD.
