The scope of work for this project consists of: The Contractor shall be responsible for surveying and measuring existing structures prior to providing any cost proposal and may be required to attend an in-person jobwalk. The Contractor shall submit any requisite shop drawings for review and approval after award and Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) is issued by the Amtrak designated Buyer. The Contractor shall perform full restoration to all double-hung windows, transom windows, attic windows, and swing windows. Full restoration includes all jambs, rails, sashes, stools, casings, panes, sills, etc. Full restoration shall include weatherstripping, putty work, sash cords, caulk, sealant, etc. For windows that have frosted panes of glass existing, contractor shall ensure frosted finish is restored upon installation of restored window system. All casings shall match in green protective coating, minimum two (2) coats with primer applied prior. Assume existing coatings are lead-based and until contractor confirms through field verification for the purpose of removal and restoration. Contractor shall evaluate and perform brick-related work as preparation to accommodate the restored window system. All doors shall also be addressed to receive new protective coatings to match restored windows. Contractor shall make evaluation for energy efficiency and make proposal during bid process to incorporate energy-efficient materials when restoring all window systems, including the installation of storm panels.
