II. Scope of Work: The School District of Pickens County, hereafter referred to as the “District” or “SDPC”, is accepting sealed proposals from licensed contractors to perform annual inspections and maintenance on eleven (11) elevators and four (4) wheelchair lifts, in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation. Please refer to “Attachment A” for a listing of all elevators and wheelchair lifts, locations, model and serial numbers. This Scope of Work defines the minimal acceptable performance by the contractor in providing defined elevator maintenance and inspections at all Pickens County School District buildings. The specifications included herein are to be considered as providing minimum desirable features. Any limitations, deviations, or broader features quoted should be designated in your proposal. Otherwise, companies and agents submitting proposals will be held to the specifications. Due care and diligence have been used in the preparation of this solicitation and the information contained herein is believed to be substantially correct, however, the responsibility for determining the full extent of the exposure and the verification of all information presented herein, shall rest solely upon the proposer. The District and its representatives will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the RFP, nor for the failure on the part of the proposer to determine the full extent of the exposures. The District reserves the right to retain Elevator Inspections & Maintenance Services through the RFQ/RFP/IFB process, from SC State Contract, and/or any other sources without limitation. The District reserves the right to add or delete similar items/services specified in contract as requirements change during the course of the contract. During the term of the contract period, and because of new technology advances, if it is found that new services in this category are required by the district, the district reserves the right to negotiate price for the new service(s) with the successful contractor and add the new service (s) to the existing contract..
