A. Site Preparation: o Clear and grub the designated areas as identified by City staff. o Excavate existing materials to the depth necessary to accommodate Class 2 base and PCC. o Identify and manage utility locations to prevent damage during excavation. B. Installation of Class 2 Base: o Install Class 2 base material to a specified depth, ensuring proper gradation and compaction. o Perform moisture conditioning and compaction to achieve 95% relative compaction according to ASTM D1557. o Ensure proper drainage is maintained in the installation of the base material. C. PCC Placement: o Place PCC in the prepared areas following alignment and grade set by City representatives. o Concrete must be placed and finished in accordance with ACI 302.1R standards for concrete floor and slab construction. o Apply necessary curing methods (e.g., curing compounds, wet curing) to ensure adequate hydration of PCC after placement. D. Finishing Work: o Finish all PCC surfaces using appropriate finishing techniques to ensure a smooth and level surface. o Ensure all control joints and expansion joints are installed as per ACI guidelines. o Cleanup and removal of excess concrete debris following installation.
