To repair one rotating mechanical screen Mfr: Headworks Model C-220, Capacity/Size: 29.7 MGD, SN: FWS021515.2.2, FWSD23 Bar Screen# 2 1.1 Contractor will provide trained service technician with proper safety equipment and apparel to complete repairs of the chains, guide rails and lower turnarounds. Any additional work necessary to complete the project must be submitted in writing and require written approval by the assigned City of Houston project manager prior to the additional work being performed. 1.2 Repair on rotating screen should be anticipated to take approximately six (6) business days 1.3 Contractor will work with the City of Houston (C of H) to minimize down time 1.4 City of Houston will empty channels and provide access to the lower ends of the screens 1.5 City of Houston will provide any onsite equipment, needed for entry 1.6 If the Contractor equipment must be stored at C of H site facility pending repair, coordination with C of H site manager in advance is required. The Contractor shall be responsible for materials left and stored at C of H site facility prior to and for the duration of repairs. 1.7 The Houston Public Works Department (HPW) shall be given two (2) working days' notice of project completion. 1.8 Equipment repairs will be inspected at the time the equipment is repaired by Houston Public Works project manager and/or HPW personnel for workmanship, appearance, proper functioning of all equipment and systems, and conformance to all other requirements of this specification. In the event deficiencies are detected, the equipment will be rejected, and necessary repairs, adjustments, or replacements will have to be made by Contractor. Payment will not be made until the corrective action is made and the equipment re-inspected and accepted. If the equipment rejected due to deficiencies, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to make the necessary corrections and resubmit the equipment for re-inspection and acceptance.
