1. This project shall consist of the Contractor providing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, insurance, etc., necessary to replace the existing concrete pads and sidewalks and pavilion renovations at Pavilions 1 and 2 at Elk Neck State Park at 4395 Turkey Point Rd, North East, MD 21901 in Cecil County. 2. The proposed project shall include but is not limited to the following: Concrete & Post Work: a. Provide temporary support for the pavilion roof structures. The Contractor shall provide shop drawings for comment. b. Remove and save for re-installation all electric conduit/devices from posts. c. Remove all 40 posts from the structures. d. Remove enough concrete to install the 2’ wide sonotubes for each of the new 6”x6” posts. i. Install specified 40 @ 6”x6” posts in same location as removed as per Drawing #2. Properly connect the posts to the roof framing with tie-plates. e. Remove the rest of the slabs (approximately 5600 SF of total concrete removal, to include previous 6”x6” post areas) down to gravel base. Remove approximately 500 SF of existing concrete and tar & chip sidewalks down to gravel base.
