1. The contractor shall provide the School Committee a total of nine (9) buses for the term of this contract, subject to such increase and decrease as may be determined by the School Committee. Vehicle requirements for the regular day transportation will be for seventy-one (71) passenger or greater buses. If the number of routes are increased or decreased, the contract price shall increase or decrease accordingly, in an amount equal to the applicable unit price. 2. These figures of ridership and routes listed in the Appendix are approximate and actual ridership may be lower. Student bus assignments may be amended by the Superintendent or his designee. Nothing in this provision shall alter the School Committee's right to increase or decrease the number or size of vehicles required or the number of routes identified herein, and to incur charges in the amount of the Unit Price for such alterations. A complete listing of the routes may be found in the Appendix at the end of this procurement document. 3. There is no after school late bus transportation as of this writing. 4. Each of the buses used by the Contractor, in accordance with its bid, shall be garaged within twenty minutes of the Winchendon Public Schools Central Office. The bidder shall submit with the bid the address and description of its terminal that will support this contract. Motor vehicle excise taxes or its equivalent will be due to the Winchendon Public Schools regardless of location during the term of this contract. 5. Copies of School Bus registrations in the Winchendon Public Schools shall be provided to the Superintendent annually, prior to August 1, for all buses used in the performance of this Contract, and the Contractor shall timely pay the excise tax for all such buses to the Winchendon Public Schools.
