BANK RUN GRAVEL: Particles shall be well graded from course to fine, all passing a 2” square sieve. 30%- 65% shall pass a ¼” sieve, not more than 5% passing a #200 sieve. CRUSHED BANK RUN GRAVEL: New York State Item #4, all passing a 1” opening consisting of clean, durable, sharp angled fragments thoroughly mixed with 12%-18% sub soil and containing a minimum of 60% fine materials and NATIVE ITEM 4. WASHED GRAVEL: New York State accepted screened gravel, thoroughly washed so as to contain no mud, clay, dirt or other objectionable materials. No soft or disintegrated material will be permitted. CRUSHED GRAVEL (Stone)-Consisting of clean, durable, sharp angled fragments of stone of uniform quality throughout. Free from thin or elongated pieces of soft or disintegrated stone. Crushed gravel (stone) shall contain a minimum of 80% fractured particles. Screened and partially crushed gravel shall not be included in this item. CRUSHED TRAP ROCK: Consisting of clean, durable, sharp angled fragments of stone of uniform quality throughout. SAND: New York State accepted washed concrete and sand consisting of clean, sharp particles with a maximum of 8% passing a #100 mesh sieve. Sand shall be free of all organic matter. CRUSHER RUN STONE: 6” plus or minus. SUBBASE COURSE #1: New York State #304.02.
