Machining services include but are not limited to, modifications to existing industrial and process pumps and equipment, including repairs to bearing races, shafts, and equipment components. The City has pump shafts and equipment with different diameters that may need machining services. The largest diameter for pumps and equipment currently in use is 24 inches. Therefore, the supplier must be capable of servicing pumps and equipment of this size at their facilities. Examples of previously completed machining services include: • Repair to bevel gear • Completing thread spline • Shaft repairs, including straightening and repair of worn portions. • Fabrication of bearing housing to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. • Brazing of equipment
