The scope of work for this Project focuses on two foundational areas of resilience hubs: Continuity of Services and Resilient Power. The City’s primary objectives in this Project are to enhance HVAC systems to reduce the spread of airborne contaminants, and to install electrical infrastructure to improve power resilience within the Resilience Hub service areas. The selected Consultant (“Consultant”) will be responsible for designing improved ventilation, onsite power generation transfer switches (including auxiliary generator connections) and conducting existing building commissioning for the six (6) neighborhood centers listed below. In addition, for two of the sites, the Consultant shall also design for permanent generators to power those resilience hubs in the event of a power outage. The six (6) neighborhood centers at which the improvements are being made are: 1. The Dr. Smith Neighborhood Center. A 26,507 square foot facility that includes one (1) gymnasium, one (1) swimming pool, one (1) multi-purpose room, one (1) computer lab, one (1) game room, two (2) offices, one (1) kitchen, one (1) outside amphitheater, and three (3) mechanical rooms. 2.
