The City of Temple Terrace (City) is soliciting qualifications from firms (Consultant) qualified to provide architectural, engineering, and construction management services required to design, permit, and construct a new Police Department or Public Safety Complex (Project) located at 7911 Harney Road, in accordance with §287.055, Florida Statutes. Currently, the proposed site for the facility is vacant land being used to store mulched tree debris from the recent hurricanes. This debris is expected to be removed from the land within the next several months. The project will be divided into two phases, with Phase II being optional. During Phase I, the Consultant will develop three (3) conceptual site plans, including renderings and massing perspectives, to be presented to the Temple Terrace City Council. One of these conceptual site plans must allocate space solely for the Police Department with provision for a future Fire Department. The other two plans should include a fully integrated Public Safety Complex housing both the Police Department Headquarters and Fire Station 3. Phase II will involve all design, engineering, and permitting services necessary to develop plans and specifications for bidding purposes. The Consultant may also provide services during the construction phase, ensuring smooth coordination between design and construction. The selected firm must provide all services necessary for the successful, timely, and cost-effective completion of the design criteria package. This includes ensuring that all designs comply with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the project.
