The City of Asheville Water Resources Department issues this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms with proven experience and expertise, to provide professional and engineering services for water treatment plant process improvements at the North Fork and William DeBruhl Water Treatment Plants. The referenced project will provide water treatment improvements for the North Fork and William Debruhl WTPs including sedimentation in the form of plate settlers, new clearwells, and associated processing equipment. The selected firm will provide timely, cost-effective, and quality professional services to support the City of Asheville’s Water Resources Department successfully accomplish this project. In addition the selected firm will provide: ● Project Management, Meetings, and Quality Assurance / Quality Control ● Data Collection and Interpretation ● Development of Detailed Design Drawings and Specifications ● Permit Acquisition ● Coordination and Communication with Regulatory Agencies, including permitting ● Opinions of Probable Construction Cost for the Project ● Bid Phase Services ● Construction Phase and Resident Project Representation (RPR) Services ● Other services as needed, to provide water treatment facility improvements based on treatment options detailed within the 2024 CDM Treatment Study and Plant Improvements.
