The Contractor shall perform the following, but not limited to: A. General tasks supporting Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow assembly repair and replacement in all buildings. 1. Prior to each assembly installation, isolate and turn water off to building and drain down water lines. 2. After installation of each assembly, turn on water to building to test for leaks and proper working conditions. 3. Contractor shall test all newly installed backflow devices IAW required regulations and provide testing certificates to the TMD Project Manager. 4. Remove existing components and other debris caused from construction, as required. All materials to be reviewed prior to disposal. TMD reserves right to repurpose parts/components of removed units to be used on other existing systems elsewhere. 5. Contractor to furnish all required transportation, hoisting, and securing for all equipment required for this project. 6. Furnish and install electrical as required to connect new assemblies. Any electrical and instrumentation wiring shall comply with manufacturer’s requirements. Disconnect and reconnect electrical as required. 7. Contractor will perform testing and certification of new components upon completion of installation in accordance with industry standards and applicable codes, UFCs, and UFGSs. Perform annual backflow prevention assembly test and maintenance report on new device. The testing will include a forward flow test, a backflow test, and a check for leaks. Complete and submit updated test results.
