AHF funds may be used for the development, and construction of affordable rental housing, including the costs of acquiring land and improvements. Eligible projects under this RGP include rehabilitation, redevelopment and new construction projects. Priority will be given to projects aimed at serving the very low-income households earning no more than 30% AMI, the affordable rent corresponding to the income level and appropriate unit size for each AHF Qualified Household, as published by the State of Hawaii or the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Multiple single room dwellings, including SRO Housing with any required food preparation or bathroom facilities or both, will be considered as eligible projects. AHF funds granted under this RGP shall be limited to a maximum of $55,000 per AHF Qualified Unit.
