Goals of this RFP Civic Training and Work-Based Learning: Provide civic training and work-based learning opportunities in community services roles that build job skills, such as project management, public relations and leadership, preparing them for future employment. Inform Project Design and Implementation: Incorporate employment skills into the community needs assessment process, encouraging youth to develop critical, communication, and leadership skills that are transferable to various job settings. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Engage with local government, businesses, and community organizations to create impactful civic projects that engage youth and expose them to various professional fields. Increase connection to permanent employment opportunities: Connect 25% of hired youth to viable permanent employment opportunities by developing partnerships and support mechanisms based on the youth preferences. Reduce Maladaptive Behaviors: Implement self-guided mental and emotional health interventions to help youth manage workplace stress, build resilience, and thrive in the employment setting. These strategies aim to reduce maladaptive behaviors and negative thought patterns by 25%. Utilize pre-post intervention incident tracking to measure the effectiveness of these interventions. Increase focus on Target Populations: Execute a targeted recruitment strategy to ensure that at least 50% of all hires identify with at least one of the specified target populations, with at least 25% are from one of the four High Priority Populations (See section C.1., Target Population)
