Frederick County, Maryland (the “County”) is seeking to add to the number of firms currently under contract for these services. Projects to be performed under this Contract will be initiated by the issuance of a Request for Task Order Proposal which will contain a description of the work required and the timeframe in which to complete the work. Upon receipt of the Request for Task Order Proposal, the Contractor (the “Contractor”) shall prepare a Task Order Proposal consisting of the detailed scope of work description and a breakdown of the tasks, number of hours and corresponding hourly rates estimated to complete the work described by the Task Order. An estimated project schedule is to be included. Hourly rates shall be in accordance with the approved rates at the time the Contractor contract is awarded or as amended if the contract is renewed in accordance with fee proposal certification. The total fee for each Task Order shall be considered a "not to exceed cost cap". The Contractor may not exceed the total Task Order fee without the written authorization of the County’s assigned Project Manager and approval of a change order for the additional work, if necessary. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to inform the Project Manager of any work that will exceed the Task Order fee or is considered to be outside the scope of the Task Order prior to performing said work so that proper authorization can be obtained and a change order for the work can be prepared and executed. Once an agreement on the scope of work and the total fee for a Task Order are reached, the County will issue a Task Order Acceptance containing the Task Order number, not to exceed Task Order fee, time frame with which to complete the work, and a notice to proceed date.
