a) The Contractor agrees that by his own inspection all elevators covered by this contract are in suitable condition (meeting original manufacturer’s standards) for acceptance under the maintenance contract. b) The Contractor will not claim extra charges during the life of the contract for parts or service that may have been needed for maintenance of the elevators prior to award of this Contract. c) The Agency may elect to have the current contractor perform all or part of any repairs prior to the establishment of this contract, if such repairs are necessary. However, the Agency reserves the right to have the repairs performed by another party prior to turning the elevators over to the Contractor for maintenance. Contractors Employee Policy – Contractor’s Employees Contractor’s employees shall adhere to the following guidelines when on the Agency property: a) Wear a uniform provided by the Contractor at all times when on the Agency premises. The uniform may be as simple as a t-shirt with the Contractor’s name or emblem prominently displayed on it. b) Carry identification prepared by the Contractor. Identification information must include the employee’s full name, photograph (portrait), company name, address, telephone number, the employee’s identification number, and the signature and title of the employee’s immediate supervisor. c) Honor the Agency’s smoke free policies. Before smoking, Contractor’s staff should check with the Facilities Manager to find out where they can smoke. d) Immediately, report any property damage to the Facilities Manager or designee. e) Do not remove any Agency property from the facility, including items found in the trash, regardless of value. f) Agency employees are not authorized to grant permission for the Contractor’s staff to remove Agency property.
