A. The Muscogee County School District is soliciting bids to provide individual bleacher inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs at all middle schools and high schools on demand, as requested, or as needed to be determined by the Director of Plant Services. This scope of work, as it relates to the specified manufacturer bleacher understructure, is intended to serve only as the minimum acceptable guidelines, repairs, or adjustments in order to restore proper operational function to the understructure system. B. The vendors’ bid shall cover the annual bleacher inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of bleachers in MCSD middle and high schools. C. All bleacher inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs must be in strict compliance with the National Fire Protection Association 102 Standard for Grandstands, Folding and Telescopic Seating, Tents, and Membrane Structures of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). D. All bleacher inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs must be in strict compliance with the most current International Building Code (IBC) and International Code Council (ICC) for all bleacher types (permanent/stationary, portable/movable, telescopic/folding, and temporary) depending on which type bleacher exists at the site. E. All bleacher inspections, certifications, and maintenance must be in compliance with the NFPA102 Standard for Grandstands, Folding and Telescopic Seating, Tents, and Membrane Structures (or the most current revision), UBC Standard 1008, and best industry practice. F. The Contractor shall be a certified bleacher inspector and responsible to provide inspection, testing, and reporting services for 12 middle schools and 8 high school gymnasium bleachers throughout the Muscogee County School District. The bleachers are either manually operated bleachers or electrically operated bleachers. The Contractor shall perform an assessment at each middle school and high school to determine the model and type of bleacher located at each site. G. The Contractor shall provide a diagnosis and treatment for repairs to ensure the bleachers will be in strict compliance with the above-mentioned applicable codes. H. The Contractor shall provide inspection and maintenance of bleachers according to a list of tasks to be performed suggested below. I. The Contractor shall submit to the Director of Plant Services complete documents for the annual inspections, maintenance, and repairs for each property.
