1. The MCSD intends to continue normal operations at all schools and facilities while painting is conducted. 2. All work must be coordinated with the Plant Services representative responsible for the project. 3. No products or materials containing asbestos or lead-based paints in any form shall be used in the work of any project. 4. The contractor must supply all tools, material, labor, and equipment to adequately perform the assigned task. 5. The contractor will comply with the Federal Clean Water Act. 6. All surfaces to be painted will be completely and properly prepared. This will include but shall not be limited to scraping, sanding, removal of small nails, tacks, brads, etc. 7. The preparation also includes filling nail holes, minor surface repair, and cleaning of the entire surface to be painted. 8. The awarded vendor shall furnish all paint and painting tools, preparation materials, travel expenses, and labor for this project. 9. The vendor must discuss the brand and type of paint to be used on each project with either the District painting lead man, the District’s regional coordinator, or the Senior Director of Plant Services. 10. The vendor is responsible for the complete cleanup of the respective job sites. This includes, but shall not be limited to the removal of paint from areas where the paint is not desirable; such as on window panes, doors, walls, floors, hardware, steps, or buttresses.
