The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract with a qualified and experienced contractor who possesses the necessary equipment, staff, expertise, and resources to provide aquatic vegetation and exotic species management for the City of Palm Beach Gardens. The contractor must be capable of performing at the high-level of service excellence demanded by the City, and must have adequate staffing and resources to address any issues that develop during the term of the contract. The City owns several canals, ponds, and wetland areas that regulatory agencies require to be kept free of aquatic vegetation and exotic species. The aquatic vegetation and exotic species management service is necessary for the free flow of water, the control of the growth of exotic species, and the maintenance of aesthetics. The work involves chemical or pesticide application, biological treatment, or mechanical removal of aquatic weeds throughout the specified bodies of water, including canals, waterways, and the wetlands and preserve areas of the City’s golf courses.
